Electricity prices are U.S. EIA state-level monthly averages for the selected residential, commercial, or industrial sector (EIA Retail Sales API) and represent blended averages across utilities and rate structures. Commercial and industrial averages do not reveal tariff-specific demand charges, ratchets, or time-of-use periods; use a recent bill and utility tariff for project underwriting. Natural gas prices use EIA state or regional averages (EIA Natural Gas). Heating oil and propane prices are curated regional estimates; see the methodology page for details and full citations.
